Ugh, we are seeing the effects of the chemo lately.  Our days have been full of a whole lot of throwing up and diarrhea.  Also, you can tell that Skyler's body is pretty achy because he is just so restless.  The past three nights he has not slept at all.  He just keeps moving around and trying to get comfortable with no success.  What makes it worse is that he hasnt been sleeping during the day either.  Its really weird.  Im used to him being either completely sedated or so sick that he just sleeps all the time.  Last night we gave him some Morphine to see if that would help him sleep, it didnt do anything for him.  It makes my body hurt and uncomfortable just watching him.  I cant imagine how awful he must be feeling.  Tonight they wrote an order for an extra dose of Morphine and Ativan together to see if that will help him sleep.  My fingers are crossed for a peaceful night!
On a good note, I was able to go down to the front lobby and hear an amazing choir sing some Christmas songs.  One of the guys in the choir was our friend Rachel's brother.  Rachel also has Leukemia, Im grateful that I was able to listen to the choir with her and her mom.  It really did brighten up my night and lift my spirits.  Thank you so much guys!

Hope your little boy was able to sleep last night - and you too.

Crystal, you are so amazing. You are so strong. You are an example to us all. You and Skyler have been through so much together. I am sure that you have the most special relationship.

I hope Skyler sleeps and that he can get over the side effects of the chemo.

Chemo sucks! Unfortunately for our sweet babies its a necessary evil. I hope he slept for you...and for him. Nothing worse than being really tired and sick and not finding any relief!

I'm sorry Crys!...I know if Skyler hasn't been sleeping, you haven't either :( Our drain pipe was making noises in the wind all night long, so I was getting super frustrated not being able to sleep. But after reading your blog I always remember that I have absolutely NOTHING worth complaining about. You two are amazing!

Sorry to hear that neither of you are getting a good night's rest! We will pray specifically for you both to sleep better and for Skyler to feel better.

It was so nice to finally meet you in person and to share some good music together last night! You and Skyler are good examples to us. Keep fighting the fight. We love you!
