We did start chemo again today. He got the dose of Vincristine and Doxorubicin that he missed last week. Our oncologist thought it would be ok since he has counts. We did the CT of his brain today and it came back clean. The doctors, as well as me, were concerned with this sudden change of moods especially since he isnt on steroids. Steroids can cause this type of behavior but Skyler is unable to take them because of his fungal infection. Thank goodness the brain isnt the cause. The child physcologist came and talked with me and Skyler today and his take on it is that he is just sick of being sick. He is now realizing that all these hard, scary, not fun things he has to do everyday arent going away and he is reverting back a little in how he is handling things. He was actually impressed at how mature he is though, and its true, Skyler has had to grow up too fast.
You cant tell in this picture very well, but Sky started getting a weird rash on his back. We dont know why but hopefully it goes away soon.

Thanks for updating us. I've been thinking of you guys often today and I'm praying for you and Skyler. What a precious little guy he is. Hang in there... hope the answers come very soon!
We're praying for Skyler and you, Crystal! Hang in there!
He is so cute getting chemo! I'm praying he's home for Easter!
Do you think the rash might have anything to do with a possible reaction to the adhesives?? I, myself, get weird rashes around bandaids and medical tape, almost as if I am allergic to the adhesive. He's probably had lots of medical tape...hmmm...I don't know. Poor little guy. I just love him! My name is Brooke Thompson. I cheered with Dani McKnight (Prince) in High School. I read her blog on little Chase. From Chase's sight I found yours and Skyler's. Now every night when I rock my baby to sleep I check on you guys and pray for you, Skyler, and the others that I have stared reading about. Skyler reminds me of my son Dawson (almost 4), just a little sweet, kind-hearted Teddybear. Love you guys, wish that he could catch a break and feel well.
I'm sorry you guys still don't have any answers and that you could be there for Easter. It's so not fair! We are going ti need to bring you another salad. Good that he is still getting chemo though and his smile just made my night! Love you both! XOXOX
Stay strong guys! You're doing so great momma and he is a resilient little guy. Thinking of you two.
Love and prayers from all of us.
Oliver got that rash while at Primary. They kept telling me it was fromt the detergent they were using. Looked just like that.Crystal I know the dr's don't encourage alternative ways of health, but I do. I have these really great essential oils that would benefit both you and Skyler. I will bring you anything you think you want to use or I can bring you what would be good for Skyler. Then you can have them and if mom feels good with them you can use them. I get let you pick my brain on them. They will build Skylers immune system up while everything else is tearing it down. If your interested let me know I 'll bring some to you.
Thinking of you both and saying many prayers. You are such a good mom and he is such a strong little boy. I love that he is smiling while getting chemo...shows what a strong little boy he is.
I have been thinking of both you and Skyler. He is such a strong little boy and you are a super mom. Both of your strength amazes me daily. You are in our prayers.
This might be an off the wall question.. But did little Skyler have the chicken pox vaccine? Could it be chicken pox?
I hope he gets well soon :)
